A gospel-centered church in Austin, Texas

Missional Partnerships

The gospel is a call to action—a declaration that "the kingdom of God is at hand" (Mark 1:15). God is not just interested in the salvation of humans, but in the restoration of all of creation to its original "good" (Gen. 1:31; Rom. 8:19-22). A gospel-centered church is active in the work of mercy, justice, and cultural renewal, praying and working against the effects of sin so that God's will might be done "on earth as it is in heaven" (Matt. 6:10).

We have chosen to partner with several organizations in the city to help you more easily live out this calling in ways that fit your interest, availability, and location. Providence people are already serving the city through these organizations, so we encourage you to jump in and serve alongside them. Please take a moment to look through some of the featured opportunities. Thank you for considering serving in one of these ways.

You can also sign-up for weekly email communication to receive updates on service opportunities and lots of other things related to the life of our church.

The mission of TruCare is to build meaningful relationships with women and families facing an unplanned pregnancy while providing for both their physical and spiritual needs. Volunteer opportunities include engaging with and praying for clients, maintaining baby care products and other resources, and helping with mail-outs and other clerical tasks.

Mobile Loaves and Fishes

Mobile Loaves & Fishes is a social outreach ministry that empowers communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless. Their Mission is to provide food and clothing and promote dignity to our homeless brothers and sisters in need. We take catering trucks and serve food, basic clothing, hygiene products, etc. to our brothers and sisters living on or near the streets. People from Providence serve together on the first Monday of each month from 5:00-7:00pm, starting at First United Methodist Church (12th & Lavaca).
