Meet “The Deut.”

We are preaching through the first eleven chapters of Deuteronomy this summer. That’s the book you never get to in your reading plan because you always get knocked out by the one-two punch of Leviticus and Numbers. It’s too bad, though, because the Deut. is greatness.

Christopher Wright says: “Feel the pulse of Deuteronomy, and you are in touch with the life and rhythms of the whole Hebrew Bible.” Behind Isaiah and the Psalms, Deuteronomy is the third-most often quoted Old Testament book in the New Testament. Yet, most of us know very little of this book and are maybe even intimidated by it.
